Compliance Assessment
From a customs compliance perspective, importers of wire mesh products under GTIP 7314.31 and 7314.39 should:
- Review declared unit values against the USD 3.5/kg reference threshold
- Align procurement pricing, contracts, and invoices with expected scrutiny
- Plan surveillance certificate applications in advance of shipment
- Ensure full consistency between commercial documents and declared values
Surveillance measures of this type typically signal heightened valuation control and may precede stricter trade policy instruments if risk patterns persist.
